The Minors Fund role, jurisdiction, and eServices
The Minors Fund and Affairs Directorate at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs & Endowments, in accordance with the Guardianship of Money Law No. (7) of 1986, undertakes the care and supervision of those who are legally ineligible, incompetent, and absentees. It supervises the guardians or custodians of minors, post-term pregnancy children, the incompetent or ineligible, agents of absentees, and legal assistants.
In the absence of those mentioned above, and based on a decision issued by the Council of Guardianship on the Money of the Minors and their Equivalents, the Directorate is appointed:
- Guardian of minors and post-term pregnancy children
- Guardian of the incompetent and ineligible, including prisoners
- Agent for absentees
- Legal assistant for those who suffer jointly from two or more disabilities, such as blindness, deafness, or muteness
Applications can be submitted to the Minors Fund and Affairs Directorate through the National Portal, which allows applicants to follow up on submitted applications, complete any required documents, or view account statements related to inheritance.
