Bahrain Bourse

The Bahrain Bourse (BHB) is the only licensed stock exchange of the Kingdom of Bahrain with a market cap of US$ 24 billion offering various types of securities that include: Shares, Mutual Funds, Bonds & Sukuk, REITs, and Treasury Bills.

BHB also offers a comprehensive suite of exchange-related facilities including offering listing, trading, settlement, and depositary services for various financial instruments. 

Trading is carried out through 12 licensed members and day-to-day trading takes place through an Automated Trading System.

The Investor Online Account Service available on bahrain.bh is provided by Bahrain Bourse and allow investors to access their portfolio to view the details of ownership of owned shares and view all types of securities transactions’ details.

Crypto Assets Exchanges

In keeping pace with the innovations in the major financial centres around the globe; Bahrain introduced new rules & policies relating to crypto-assets in line with economic vision 2030 to adopt innovation to develop a FinTech ecosystem supporting Bahrain’s position as a leading financial hub in the region.

The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) monitors and issues license for exchange platform for crypto-asset service licensees

Capital Markets Supervision

Bahrain’s capital markets are under the regulatory and supervisory oversight of the Central Bank's Capital Market Supervision Directorate, which oversees both the primary and secondary markets.

The purpose of the Central Bank of Bahrain’s supervision and monitoring is to ensure compliance by the licensed exchanges and market operators with the requirements as stipulated in the Central Bank of Bahrain and Financial Institutions Law 2006 (PDF, 98 pages, 271KB) rules and regulations in general and the Markets and Exchanges Module of CBB Rulebook Volume 6 in particular.

The CBB issues regular compliance reports for capital markets.
